From Heather Catallo ABC 7 News
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is poised to make an announcement about the controversial permanent birth control device called Essure (made my Bayer).
The 7 Investigators have led the way in exposing the health problems that women say Essure has caused in them.
Essure is marketed as an alternative to tubal ligation to prevent pregnancy. But many women say the metal coils that are placed inside the fallopian tubes have caused terrible allergic reactions.
Five deaths have been associated with Essure.
More than 4,800 adverse event reports about Essure have been filed with the FDA, and the agency has launched an investigation.

Using the hashtag #EssureProblems please help show support by posting on social media or retweeting on behalf of these brave injured women who have led the fight against medical device giant Bayer. It is impressive to see how they’ve banded together to expose the negative truth about Essure which may have helped save someone you love from enduring the loss they have.
